This RTS Futures session will give you the tools you need to make it past the toughest of industry gatekeepers.

Hosted by TV presenter OJ Borg (National Lottery, BBC Radio 2) and featuring a panel comprising exactly the kind of people you need to know and impress if you want that glittering career. This interactive session will get attendees up to speed with all the essentials necessary for success. Our experts will reveal the secrets of ninja networking, fool proof CV writing and how to be the most charming interviewee ever. The event kicks off with a Networking session from 7-7.30pm, a fantastic opportunity for attendees to meet and greet our panellists.

From first impressions to insider tips – this event is a one-stop shop for everything you need to ensure you get that job. Come armed with questions and get involved as you could earn yourself a one to one with a member of our panel. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Samantha Beddoes Series Producer - The Great British Bake Off
Samantha Beddoes was Series Producer on the most recent series of The Great British Bake Off, and also for the charity celebrity version, Sport Relief Bake Off. She has been a Producer/Director on Comic Relief Bake Off, series 3 of The Great British Bake Off, Why Ships Sink, Predators in Paradise (filmed in Malawi and South Africa), The Human Body (filmed in Rwanda), The Year The Weather Went Wild (filmed in the USA) and Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong.

 

Ed Booth Series Producer - The Voice
Ed Booth has been Series Producer on all three series of The Voice, series 1 and 2 of So You Think You Can Dance UK, the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour and Strictly Come Dancing series 8. He was Senior Producer on So You Think You Can Dance, Senior VT Producer on series 6 and 7 of Strictly Come Dancing, Producer/Director on Family Fortunes All Stars and on Celebrity Fame Academy. He produced Eurovision: Jades Story, and was Senior Edit Producer on Strictly Come Dancing series 5, and I'd Do Anything. He started as Edit Producer on Dance X, Any Dream Will Do, When Will I Be Famous, Strictly Come Dancing series 4, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, Only Fools On Horses, Strictly Dance Fever and Just The Two Of Us.

 

Emily Gale Head of Talent - FremantleMedia UK
Emily Gale started out working for BBC Regional News. She then moved to Watchdog, starting as a runner and working her way up to producer. Emily then moved to CBBC where she series produced live, magazine and documentary series including the BAFTA nominated Short Change. She has produced and directed live shows and OBs for BBC Factual, and worked in New York making reality shows for Discovery and Bravo. Emily is now head of talent for FremantleMedia UK.

 

Sharyn Mills Series Producer - Strictly Come Dancing
Sharyn Mills has been Series Producer on Strictly Come Dancing, Girlfriends, Made in Chelsea, Senior Producer on Ultimate Traveller and Big Brother, Producer on Move Like Michael Jackson and Reality Director on Britain’s Got Talent.

 

Elsa Sharp Talent Manager for History and Business BBC
Elsa Sharp is Talent Manager for BBC London Factual (History and Business) and was previously Head of Talent at Dragonfly Film and TV, Talent Manager at Raw Television, Development Producer atTwo Four Productions, Head of Talent at Zig Zag Productions, Series Producer for BBC Entertainment and Series Producer/Development Producer at RDF Media. Susie Worster Head of Creative Talent - Wall to Wall
Susie Worster is Head of Talent for Wall to Wall. Prior to that she was Executive Producer at Discovery Networks Europe, Series Producer in BBC Development, Series Producer for TalkbackThames, Series Producer for Ark/Ricochet Productions and Series Producer at Wall to Wall.

This event is open to all RTS Futures members and full members of the Royal Television Society, but is designed for those with no more than two years’ television experience. The cost to RTS Futures members is £10.00. Tickets for full members of the Royal Television Society are complimentary but MUST be booked in advance – please provide your membership number when booking. If you’re not a full member of the Society, you (and any guest/s you book a place for) *MUST* be registered as a member of RTS Futures.
