The Centre organises RTS events across the South and acts as a forum for discussion and debate on all aspects of television and the community. It is also responsible for the RTS Southern Centre Professional and Student Awards presented in February of each year. The Centre is run by a committee who have a professional interest in Television.

What's Happening

Bookings are now open for our flagship event of the year, held at Kings Place. With speakers including Chase Carey, President and COO of 21st Century Fox, JB Perrette, President, Discovery Networks International, The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, Jeremy Darroch, Chief Executive, BSkyB, Tony Hall, Director-General of BBC, and Kirsty Wark, among other leading industry figures, the event is one not to be missed.

Entries are now invited for the 2013/2014 Craft and Design Awards which will be presented on Monday 1 December 2014 at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London W1K 1BE.

An invitation to join the Wales Centre for our annual Welsh-language event. Ron Jones, Executive Chairman, Tinopolis, will be talking to Tim Hartley about the development of the company and about the host of interesting projects they have in the pipeline.

BBC director general Tony Hall today announced a “competition revolution” which will overhaul TV production at the corporation.

A morning of debate surrounding the future of the license fee. Speakers include Tony Hall; George Brock, Head of Journalism Department at City University; Lord Burns, Chairman of the Independent Panel on BBC Charter Review during 2004-5; James Purnell, Director of Strategy and Digital at the BBC.
