The original BBC Broadcasting House was built in 1932, and it's unique art deco design immediately made it an outstanding landmark in central London. It was one of the first purpose-built radio broadcast centres in the world, and was a technological sensation of that time.

Over the last seven years, it has undergone a major transformation and enlargement, elevating it once more to a world leading, cutting-edge facility. Now complete, this 80,000 sq. metre structure provides state-of-the-art, digital broadcast facilities for Radio & Music, News and the World Service. At the heart of the building concept is the largest live newsroom in Europe.
