Former stand-up comedian, Daniel Glyn, is an enthusiastic ambassador for his TV station, which he describes as, "local TV but with loftier ambitions".  Launched in October 2014, Made in Cardiff is part of the Made Television Group, which also has stations in Tyne & Wear, Leeds, Bristol, Liverpool, and Birmingham, broadcasting on Freeview Channel 8 (and also on Virgin and Sky).  On 7th December a group of RTS Members were shown round the station's impressively compact TV studio and gallery, situated in a city centre office block.

Daniel Glyn (above) took over as manager in January, and has tweaked the station's output to include 'raw stand-up comedy' as well as locally produced news, arts, music, entertainment, and current affairs programmes, covering both the City Council and the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff Bay.  There's also a 'what's on' guide for the city, and a catch-up TV service with archive content on-line.

Recently registered with BARB, Made in Cardiff now has an impressive monthly reach of over 400,000, which Glyn claims, "shows that we're connecting with viewers in the City".  He also explained that, "we're not afraid to experiment", adding that, "we've hired an OB van to cover live events such our the Cardiff Lifestyle Awards, but we've also broadcast live using just a smartphone with a suitable Wi Fi connection".
