This will not be a question in this year's Review Quiz — it's not that it's too easy, but that some people might find the answer upsetting.

But there will be questions about other people and events in the news during 2016, together with rounds to exercise your brains with some lateral thinking — and a chance to win the North East's most miniscule trophy!  There's always a canny Christmas Buffet as well.
