Hooten and the Lady – Sky: Friday September 18 at 9pm

This big-budget adventure drama follows the escapades of an unlikely duo – maverick adventurer Hooten (Michael Landes) and Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond), a refined British Museum historian. They travel the globe searching for lost relics, and get into numerous scrapes along the way. The first episode sees the pair hunting the lost city of gold – El Dorado, and hints dropped by Sky suggest further episodes will be set in Egypt and the Himalayas.

Hooten’s ‘Travel Tuesday’ list details destinations such as the Himalayas and the Amazon – presumably places we will see the unlikely duo venture to during the series.

Start the week with a meeting in Dubrovnik about a new project we are working on. Although I can’t say much about it yet, I can say that Dubrovnik is incredibly beautiful, despite people constantly pointing at places where scenes for Game of Thrones were shot.

Young Peoples’ Media Festival participants

Young people with a passion for broadcasting and filmmaking have been celebrated at one of the region’s most prestigious media events.

The University of Sunderland hosted the RTS North East and Border Centre, Young Peoples’ Media Festival (YPMF) on Wednesday 18 May. The festival celebrates work from students, schools and colleges throughout the North East, North Yorkshire, and Cumbria.
