The broadcasting company is offering six training placements for talented TV professionals with a disability, and those from black, Asian, and minority backgrounds, to develop their commissioning skills.
Now in it’s third year, the six-month programme will place applicants into one of the BBC’s commissioning teams, including BBC Two, Arts, Drama, Entertainment, Popular Factual and Specialist Factual.

The charitable organisation runs two training programmes each year, The Network and Ones to Watch, that help talent from a diverse range of backgrounds across the UK kick-start their careers in the TV industry.
The Network gives 60 applicants with little or no experience their first step on the TV ladder for those who want to work behind the camera.
We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Sky Academy to offer 50 people the chance to get an in depth look at what Sky Academy does and learn more about the opportunities available in TV production.
The Society is offering 20 bursaries to students studying Television Production and Broadcast Journalism courses at accredited universities. A further five technology bursaries are also available to students studying Computing and Engineering at some of the top courses at British universities.

When Tony Hall was appointed BBC Director-General, he pledged to widen the corporation’s recruitment net by ensuring that 1% of its public-service workforce were apprentices by 2016.
He reached the target two years ahead of schedule. By the end of 2014, 177 apprentices were employed across the UK in departments ranging from local radio to business management.
BBC apprenticeships last between 12 months and three years. Participants on the production scheme undertake placements on programmes in addition to training with the BBC Academy.
