Families around Britain have received a new houseguest: a big red button, which sits quietly until suddenly lighting up and challenging the families to a number of fiendish tasks.

Five families will compete to win the games from the comfort of their living rooms. All must keep a close eye on their button and press it as fast as possible after it turns red, otherwise they’ll be at a disadvantage. Arriving in all five locations simultaneously, The Button will set the households a series of fiendishly fun challenges requiring skill, determination and intellect, over one anything-can-happen day.

Drawing on generations of experience, the families compete to win big money prizes. The winners keep the money they win. The losers? Well they get nothing except the chance to return to fight again! Each winning family can take their cash and run, or gamble with the button for the chance to win an extra £10,000 next week – or lose it all.
