Fusion International Film Festival: Best Feature Documentary trophy

The Search for Little Flanders, directed by RTS Cymru Wales Member Pam Hunt, was recently awarded Best Feature Documentary by Fusion International Film Festivals, an organisation that runs four film festivals across Europe.

The film tells the story of a Flemish settlement that moved into parts of south Pembrokeshire after the 11th century Norman invasion and it was originally screened at an RTS Cymru Wales event held as part of the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival in 2018.

The film was up against some 27 entries in the Documentary Feature category following a placement in the Film Freeway in 2019.

Commenting on the award, Pam Hunt said

“I am very proud of the Llangwm community and all who contributed to the film. Most of us aspire to win these awards long before the end of our careers and certainly not 15 years after our retirement.”

The Fusion International Film Festivals have been specifically designed to bring together filmmakers and creatives from all over the world and along with its European festivals, the organisation intends to launch a London Festival next year.
