A brand new quiz show format inspired by the familiar fairground derby game sees contestants answer and race their way to £5000.

The show also poses a challenge to its host, Roman Kemp, as the race depends on how fast he can read out the questions, with each right answer moving the contestant closer to the finish line. Keeping score is Sarah Greene, but Kemp has hinted at some finishes so nail-bitingly close that they have had to defer to their version of VAR (the Video Assistant Referee used in pro football).

Ghosts US: Series Two

Monday

BBC Three, 8.00pm

The US remake of the much-loved goofy and ghostly UK sitcom is back for a second series.

It kicks off with another plotline inspired by the original, as Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) transform their haunted house into a B&B and enlist their Americanised gang of ghosts to secure a good review from their first guests. As the ghosts soon discover, though, the ostensibly polite Midwesterners are anything but.

As if Top Gun: Maverick wasn't thrilling enough, Channel 4 is taking us behind the scenes and into the cockpits of the ones doing it for real.

Its new series is set in RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland, the busiest operational airbase in the Royal Air Force. And as global tensions are mounting, especially with Russia, there are missions to follow both at home and abroad. In episode one of six, we meet RAF pilot Jake Desmond just as he is sent to NATO's frontline to fight off three Russian jets.

Ahsoka

Wednesday

Disney+

The Star Wars universe expands with a spin-off from The Mandalorian that also continues the animated series Star Wars Rebels.

Rosario Dawson reprises her role as the titular Jedi padawan as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy, which was left vulnerable after the fall of the Galactic Empire. By the looks of the trailer, Ahsoka will be joining forces with her former Rebel allies to take on Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). Meanwhile David Tennant is back voicing Huyang, the light-saber crafting droid from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn

Friday

Apple TV+

"A perfect CEO, or a perfect crime?" A new true crime documentary revisits the dramatic fall and daring escape of Carlos Ghosn.

In 2018, the former CEO of both Nissan and Renault was accused of money-laundering and forced to retire. But when more allegations came in 2019, Ghosn fled from Japan to Lebanon while hidden in a musical instrument box with breathing holes. It's the type of image you're more likely to find in a Hollywood heist movie, which is certainly the vibe of the trailer, in which Apple also tease an exclusive interview with the man himself.
