Rakhee Thakrar (Wonka) and James Fleet (Bridgerton) set to join previously announced stars Nikki Amuka-Bird (Knock at the Cabin), John Simm (Grace) and Gemma Jones (Gentlemen Jack) for Chris Lang’s new family drama I, Jack Wright.

The family drama follows the Wright family, who are thrown into disarray after learning of their family patriarch and business tycoon Jack Wright’s (Trevor Eve, Waking the Dead) untimely suicide. When his last will and testament is revealed, Nikki Amuka-Bird enters the narrative as Jack’s third-wife Sally, alongside his two sons Gray (Simm) and John (Rigby). All three of them have been largely cut-out of the will and won’t be receiving much of Jack’s enormous fortune.

Unbeknownst to the Wrights, DCI Morgan (Harry Lloyd, Game of Thrones) and DC Jones (Liz Kingsman, Hijack) are investigating the apparent suicide, discovering that foul play may have been the true cause of death. As the cast of characters become more desperate for a piece of the Wright family fortune, the focus turns to Jack’s nearest and dearest.

Other cast added to the family murder mystery include James Fleet (Bridgerton) as Bobby, Zoë Tapper (Grace) as Georgia Wright, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis (Becoming Elizabeth) as Emily Wright, Sabrina Bartlett (The Larkins) as Bella, and Percelle Ascott (Domino Day) as Reuben, while Fleet will play Bobby, and Thakrar will star as Laura Johnstone.

Filming has begun on the six-part UKTV original drama series. I, Jack Wright will air on Alibi in 2025.
