The Royal Television Society Devon & Cornwall Centre is delighted to announce that Laura Crane will be the special guest host for this year’s Student Television Awards on 27th March 2019 at Jill Craigie Cinema, University of Plymouth, Plymouth, PL4 8AA from 6pm.

Laura is a British champion surfer, model, social media influencer (with over half a million Instagram followers) and, of course, one of the stars of ITV’s Love Island.  Laura moved to North Devon when she was 11, learned to surf, and made an immediate impact in the sport – becoming British Champion aged 14 and representing Team GB for 4 years. Awards Producer, Neil Edwards said; “We are thrilled Laura will be joining us to host our award ceremony and share her experiences with the students. Laura embodies the multifaceted media world we now live in and we're all looking forward to learning from the incredible journey she has been on".

The RTS Student Television Awards recognise the best audio-visual work created by students over 16 who are in full time education.

If you are interested in attending the event, please RSVP to Jane Hudson, Event Manager Email: rtsdevonandcornwall@rts.org.uk
