Kevin McCrae, cofounder of animation and visual FX specialist company Playdead recounted his beginnings in London, first studying and then picking up work amongst various VFX companies, before getting a break with Firecracker Films, where he worked as a motion graphic designer.
RTS Scotland and Creative Media Network invite you to enjoy a day of workshops and master classes across different platforms led by leading industry figures, including the chance to work with professional drama producers in The Drama Bootcamp.

Chaired by Jane Muirhead, Managing Director of Raise The Roof Productions and hosted by STV presenter Jennifer Reoch and stand-up comedian Des Clarke, this years awards will take place at 18:00 on Wednesday 9th May at the Old Fruit Market in Glasgow.
Chaired by Jane Muirhead (Managing Director of Raise The Roof Productions), the awards cover all forms of production in Scotland, recognising excellence and innovation across a range of genres and crafts.

Join the Royal Television Society Scotland to celebrate the quality and depth of our television talent at our annual awards ceremony. The 2018 event takes place in the nostalgic location of Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket and is hosted by presenters Jennifer Reoch and Des Clarke.

RTS Scotland and City of Glasgow College were thrilled to present a masterclass by award-winning fight and stunt director David Goodall at the end of February.
Alistair Scott, director of Screen Academy Scotland and a professor at Edinburgh Napier University, hosted the event in the industry standard TV studio in the new City Campus. The event drew an enthusiastic audience of 50 keen students and industry professionals.
On the last evening in January, nominees, lecturers and various professionals from across the industry met in Cottiers theatre in Glasgow's West End to celebrate Scotland’s burgeoning talent and congratulate the winners of the 2018 RTS Scotland Student Television Awards.
The ceremony was hosted by Glasgow’s very own queen of comedy Karen Dunbar, who kept the crowd roaring with laughter from beginning to end - pausing only to applaud each of the winners and nominees for their outstanding entries.
RTS Scotland welcomes you to join us in celebrating the finest student television in Scotland across genres of animation, factual, comedy & entertainment, short feature and drama, with students from Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, University of Stirling, Fife College, North East Scotland College, Glasgow Clyde College, Edinburgh Napier University, Glasgow Caledonian University and The University of the West of Scotland.
