RTS Scotland presents TV Fight Club with David Goodall

 

RTS Scotland and City of Glasgow College were thrilled to present a masterclass by award-winning fight and stunt director David Goodall at the end of February.

Alistair Scott, director of Screen Academy Scotland and a professor at Edinburgh Napier University, hosted the event in the industry standard TV studio in the new City Campus. The event drew an enthusiastic audience of 50 keen students and industry professionals.

RTS Scotland Student Television Awards 2018

On the last evening in January, nominees, lecturers and various professionals from across the industry met in Cottiers theatre in Glasgow's West End to celebrate Scotland’s burgeoning talent and congratulate the winners of the 2018 RTS Scotland Student Television Awards.

The ceremony was hosted by Glasgow’s very own queen of comedy Karen Dunbar, who kept the crowd roaring with laughter from beginning to end - pausing only to applaud each of the winners and nominees for their outstanding entries.

RTS Scotland Awards 2018 *EXTENDED ENTRY DEADLINE*

This year will mark the fifth anniversary of our awards, and we are very pleased to be celebrating the best from a year in television and congratulating Scotland's burgeoning talent. Our entry numbers have increased and so has the number of awards we present; the awards ceremony has now become a popular industry event and is well established in the television calendar.

RTS Scotland launches Student Television Awards 2018

The closing date for entries is Friday 20th October 2017.

RTS Scotland launched the Student Television Awards for their twenty-third year in early October. Lecturers and their students from across Scotland were invited to learn more about these prestigious awards and how to enter, as well as to listen to speakers from the industry share their insight and experience.

This event will be of interest to television students and lecturers who want to hear more about how to enter this prestigious competition. We will outline the criteria, categories, entry procedures and timeframe for the forthcoming awards. Coming along to this event ensuring you submit your entry correctly is the first important step towards getting your hands on a coveted RTS Scotland trophy.

Robbie Coltrane's Critical Evidence makes a return to A+E Networks

The RTS award-winning actor will front the new Crime + Investigation series Robbie Coltrane’s Critical Evidence. 

The eight-part series will look at some of the toughest murder cases that investigators face, with no suspect, no leads, and sometimes no body.

Each episode will analyse a different complex case investigated by the British police and how they resolved the difficult investigation.
