Joel Dommett confirmed to host the reboot of Survivor UK

Survivor has been off the UK screens since 2002, but has been having a huge amount of success overseas, with the US version airing its 44th season in March 2023.

The revived Survivor will follow a similar format to the US show, with the competitors forming tribal groups. The contestants will catch and hunt their food, build their own shelter, and navigate life on the island in their tribes.

The celebrities won’t be facing terrifying bushtucker trials, but they will be dressed in the most bizarre and extravagant outfits - from a witchetty grub to a kangaroo.

The panel and viewers at home will need to try and guess who the famous faces are behind the costumes before they can scream: "I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!" 

The panel will be comprised of Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, plus special guest star panellists who will help crack the mystery of who is behind the mask.

Joel Dommett to host new reality game show The Love Trap

Hosted by Joel Dommett, the new reality game show will explore how hard it is to know who to trust in the modern world of dating.

Subverting familiar dating show tropes, The Love Trap will see twelve women all compete over a series of dates to win the affection of one single man.

However, only half of the women will be hoping to win the bachelor’s heart. The other six will be hoping to stay in the game with the hope of winning a huge cash prize.

The Masked Dancer heads to ITV this May

A spin-off from the RTS-Award winning series The Masked Singer, the new series will see celebrities perform unique dances while dressed in extravagant costumes with gigantic, colourful face masks.

The show’s celebrity panel will then need to work out who is behind the mask, helped along by some cryptic clues.

Strictly star Oti Mabuse will be bringing her dance expertise to the panel, joining Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall as they guess who is busting the moves beneath the giant suits.

ITV announces The Masked Dancer

Joel Dommett will present the seven part series, with dancer Oti Mabuse, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall sitting on the judging panel.

Ross said: “What people don’t know is that secretly I am an expert in dance and can spot a ball change from a box step no problem.

“The title of best detective on the panel is most certainly coming my way!”

Celebrity contestants will have to perform unique dance routines while covered head to toe in extravagant costumes and masks, leaving it up to the panel and viewers to guess their identities.

The Masked Singer UK adds Mo Gilligan to panel

Gilligan will be joining Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross in using their power of deduction to guess the face behind the voice, while host Joel Dommett also returns to preside over the proceedings.

Gilligan commented: "It’s a real privilege to be joining The Masked Singer team.

“It’s one of the funniest shows out there and I’m really proud to play my small part to help bring a little bit of joy to the nation.”

New series Celebrity Karaoke Club heads to ITV2

Seven celebrities will kick off the proceedings at a karaoke bar, belting out their renditions in both solo performances and group battles.

In a provocative twist, their fellow competitors will judge them, with a focus on passion and stage presence over voice.

The list of those on the mic includes TV personalities Scarlett Moffat and Roman Kemp, Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts, comedians Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Melvin Odoom and Luke Kempner, and Love Island’s Samira Mighty.

ITV announces start date for I’m a Celebrity 2019

Ant and Dec will return to reside over a new group of famous faces as they endure the Australian outback.

Across several gruelling weeks, the celebs will face the dreaded Bushtucker Trials and the chance to inherit the crown from 2018’s King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp.

The series will be followed by a new series of I’m A Celebrity…Extra Camp on ITV2, presented by Joel Dommett, Emily Atack and Adam Thomas.

Together, the three hosts will get the inside scoop on life inside the jungle and share lively discussions with special guests.

Comedians head home for Comedy Central

The Comedy Bus (w/t) will follow six comedians as they travel to each of their hometowns to see how they have changed over the years.

Joining Dommett and Stirling for a trip down memory lane are Mock the Week regular Tom Allen, Suzi Ruffell, Darren Harriott and Kiri Pritchard-Mclean.
