Cumming received the RTS Scotland Special Award 2023 in recognition of his achievements across a long and varied career, which has taken in beloved Scottish shows Take the High Road and The High Life, award-winning US series The Good Wife and, currently, Apple TV+’s musical comedy Schmigadoon!.

“I owe my whole career to Scotland. I made my first film here when I was 20. I got my first of many roles on Scottish Television when I was 21 and my first film was a Scottish co-production with a Scottish writer/director,” he said.

The US version sees a mix of famous faces and everyday Americans, 20 in total, play the game of deception and suspicion.

Award-winning actor Alan Cumming hosts the series at an ancient castle in Scotland where, just like the UK version, the contestants will have to work together on exhilarating missions to increase the prize fund up to $250,000.

And, of course, going deep undercover among the Faithful contestants are the Traitors, who must remain undetected while eliminating the Faithfuls one by one to claim the prize for themselves.
